About us Siem Reap
We are TukTour
A small team of local drivers and guides who grew up in these streets — and who would rather show you the city slowly than tick off a list of photo stops.
TukTour began with a handful of drivers who were tired of watching visitors rush past the best parts of the city on the way to the next photo stop. A tuk tuk is slow enough to see things and quick enough to cover ground — and once you are riding in one, the driver stops being a chauffeur and starts being the person who tells you what you are looking at.
Once you are riding in one, the driver stops being a chauffeur and starts being your guide.
Today we are a network of independent local drivers working together under one name. Each of them keeps their own tours, their own routes and their own stories. What we share is the standard: show up on time, drive safely, speak honestly about prices, and treat every traveller like a guest.
Why a tuk tuk
A bus separates you from the city with a pane of glass. A tuk tuk does not. You hear the markets, you smell the food stalls, you feel the temperature change when you pass under the trees. When something catches your eye, you say so and we pull over — no schedule to defend, no group of thirty people waiting on you.
It is also the way people here actually move around. Riding in one is not a tourist novelty; it is simply how you get across town.
Local guides who know the detours
Our drivers are not reading from a script. They know which temple is quiet at seven in the morning, which street food stall is worth the stop, and which viewpoint earns the extra twenty minutes at sunset. They also know the ordinary things that make a place make sense — where people shop, where the kids play football after school, which neighbourhood flooded last rainy season.
If you have questions, ask them. That conversation is most of what you are paying for.
Tours that adapt to your group
Whether you are travelling with friends, as a couple, with family, or on your own, the tour bends around you. Each tuk tuk carries up to four people; for larger groups we add vehicles and keep everyone together. Start times are flexible — if you want to be at the temples before the heat, or out at golden hour, we plan the day around that.

We pick you up at your hotel
There is no meeting point to find and no address to translate into a taxi app. Tell us where you are staying and your driver will be waiting outside at the agreed time. At the end of the tour you get dropped wherever suits you — back at the hotel, at a restaurant, or at the night market.
What the tours mean locally
Every booking pays a local driver directly. The routes are built around family-run stalls, small workshops and neighbourhood restaurants rather than the places that pay for the traffic, and we tell you upfront what a stop costs so nothing turns into a sales pitch. Some of our tours run as volunteer rides with no price attached — you will see them marked as such.
Booking with us
Pick a tour, choose your date and the number of travellers, and send the request. You can also just message us on WhatsApp and ask — if you are not sure which tour fits your day, describing what you want to see is usually faster than reading six descriptions. We confirm your booking on WhatsApp with the pickup time and the exact price before anything is paid.
